Everything you wanted to know about Rogue
1996 - 2004

"Have you ever wanted something so badly that it possessed your body and your soul through the night and through the day?
Until you finally get it...and then you realize, that it wasn't what you wanted after all.
And then those selfsame, sickly little thoughts now go and attach themselves to something, or somebody new.
And the whole goddamn thing starts all over again."

So, I've now been living in Washington DC for 5 years. I've had many adventures over the years since I threw my life into ultimate chaos and drama back in the summer of 2003. I still work with routers, but am slowly starting to want to change my career. I'm wondering if I'd do better in Physical Therapy or Rehabilitation, if not something like Grief Counseling. I started training BJJ, Muay Thai and Kali last year, and so far am really enjoying it. I now attend MMA fights and watch The Ultimate Fighter. I'm wanting to compete sometime this summer, if I can pull my weight down from the high 180's to 150.

My mom died on March 2 of this year and it was pretty much devastating in a lot of ways. I've been pulling through it, and I'm getting better at just kinda finding the happy, but I miss the hell out of her. She was in a lot of pain and was bedridden for a couple of years, so it's good that she's now where she's able to run and dance again. I finally published a Kindle version of the book I've been writing for the last 9 years, and it's available on amazon.com HERE. I wish she'd lived to see it. I dedicated the book to her.

I was never big on stuffing myself into a particular pidgeonhole, but if I had to pick one, I guess you could say that Punk comes pretty close to the way I like to live/think/believe. In the 80's I was one of those waifs outside the Fair Oaks movie theatre every weekend, waiting for Rocky Horror Picture Show to explode across the screen in all it's glory. I did the whole ripped fishnets, ripped jean/military shorts and ripped shirt thing for years.

My youth and innocence blasted away by RHPS, I worked for various retail organizations doing ghastly things for teeny sums of cash until I happened upon the wonderful world of computers. This was brought about by my sainted mother's constant prodding of "Computers are the wave of the future...you really should learn how to operate them." "Yeah, right" I thought back then. Man, was she right.

After finally getting a reputable job at the keenest company in the world, InterCon in Herndon, Virgina, I thought I'd stay with them until they got bought out or they fired me. Well, they got bought out... about 4 years after I started, and before I knew it, I was back on the streets. Well, lets just say that I liked working there so much that I chose to quit and start stripping at a bar down in Southeast DC for a while. *sigh* InterCon was THE BEST job I ever had. I still have the custom tailored leather jacket that the owner of the company bought for all the employees. To make a VERY long story short, after ending a stint in hell at a videoconferencing company in Virginia that thought FAR too much of itself, and working for an ISP in Maryland that laid me off back in June 2003, I'm now working in Georgetown for another ISP.

I love motorcycles. I'm a cruiser/touring bike kinda gal. I can't deal with crotchrockets. Leaning over that far forward kills the experience of the ride, in my opinion. My dream bike is a circa 1940 Harley Davidson Knucklehead. Of course there's also a great deal to be said for the 1950's Panhead as well. In the interest of keeping my kidneys where they're currently located in my body, I want to get one of the newer Harleys for daily use. Also, the newer bikes are easier to find parts for. I'm a big gearhead wannabe. I'm also a throwback...

I used to have a fairly varied and 'alternative' dress style, but I've lost my flair for fashion and am slowly trying to reclaim it. So far, easy and comfy is winning over showy and attractive. Ah, getting old.

I love industrial music (german being my favorite). I also enjoy listening to '30's and '40's jazz, big band, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven (and others of their ilk).

I compose music, write fiction (Did I mention my first book's out, finally?) and poetry, sing, train BJJ, Muay Thai and Kali and am a Santeria Priestess. I guess you could say I got a lot goin' on.

I'm one of those kids that used to play Dungeons and Dragons, and LOVED it. I've run through several different systems with gaming groups in the past - CHILL, Tales from the Floating Vagabond, GuRPS..stuff like that. I also used to do a little online roleplaying, and enjoyed 'running' TankGirl as a professional wrestler from time to time. I 'ran' her in several e-feds before finally retiring her from all the irritating crap that comes from trying to roleplay with twelve year old kids that think cursing up a storm and giving people the finger is the height of roleplaying. (really, on looking back, what WAS I thinking?)

Here are some lovely pictures of my first trip to Las Vegas back in 2000.

My lovely cat Pyewacket, ran away from home many years ago. I miss the hell out of her and hope that she's with a happy home. Someday, I want to get another Ocicat. Best. Cat. Ever.

Do you Really Believe in That Astrology Crap?

While I don't necessarily ascribe to Astrological paths of thought/behaviour on a regular basis, I do believe that the signs are indicative of certain types of behaviour that people manifest from time to time. Far too often, I've met a large quantity of Aries, Taurus and Capricorn people, and seen the way that they behave, and from what I've been able to tell, Astrologically speaking, they all fit a behavioural pattern of sorts.

The same can be said for those of opposite/complimentary Chinese Zodiac signs as well. I've found that certain relationships with certain Sun and Chinese Zodiac signs can be either amazingly in sync, or harmonious and beneficial to both partners, or they can have disastrous consequences.

Like me (a scorpio) trying to date an Aries male. It's pretty nasty...Sure, the sex is AMAZING, but I tend to want to rip the heads off of my mates if they constantly talk about having sex with other females/males/whathaveyou, so it doesn't really make for the best of relationships.
