8.15.05 Getting close to that time of year again. This year, I'll be spending Halloween in Barranquila, Columbia. I'm looking forward to seeing how they celebrate the holiday in South America.

Halloween has always been a holiday of wonder and excitement for me, even way beyond my childhood years. It's always added a special texture to the rest of the year. I've been a horror/gore/splatter fan since I was a teenager collecting Fangoria and various rubber body parts. I don't really have the patience to do horror makeup, so I'm quite content to let the visionaries in the business (Tom Savini, Rob Bottin, Rick Baker) entertain me with their visions of the grotesque. This page is pretty much my salute to everything creepy and grotesque, and, of course, HALLOWEEN-ie.

I maintain a small list of what sounds like honestly scary halloween houses. If you'd like me to add a listing for your haunted house, send me email, and I'll check your site out.

If there's anything that you're aware of that you don't see on this page, or even if you'd like to state your opinion of the page, please let me know! Enjoy!

SHOPPING

This is a collection of retail Halloween-type stores and outlets available online.

Sabretooth Inc. is another gorgeous site advertising fangs and special effect contact lenses. They've got some really good prices.
The American Headhunter is a company that exclusively sells animal skulls. All of their bones are legally obtained, and no animals are killed just for their skulls or horns.
Dark Rider is a nicely constructed page by folks that seem to do Haunted House rides, construction, prop sales and consulting for those eager to start their own haunted house.
Spookshows.com a website for collectors of Halloween Antiques
Body Tech "For theatrical prosthetics, human feature alterations or specially colored, guaranteed medically safe contact lenses, we are your one-stop center." Hey kids! They even have gargoyles!
Bone Clones - Resin replica animal skulls. You want skulls? They got skulls! Small skulls, big skulls, itty bitty teeny weenie skulls...they got 'em all.
Corpses for Sale Name pretty much says it all, folks...Nice corpses, though.
Nightmare Factory gift and costume shop.

EVENTS

Salem Haunted Happenings is a celebration of Halloween taking place from October 10th - November 2nd. There is something for everyone to do during the festivities: parades, psych ic fairs, costume balls, haunted houses, tours of Salem's greatest historic sites, and restaurants galore!
NY's Village Halloween Parade - New York's annual parade thru the village is usually pretty packed, which is why I didn't make it down last year when I was in the city...too many people tend to make me really jittery, especially on a night like Halloween...
