Lenny Bruce

Lenny was an incredibly funny man. Unfortunately, not everybody felt that this was the case. He spent most of his career being persecuted for his comedic performances, and was in fact imprisoned for obscenity 1961. He was constantly harrassed by cops and the court system.

The Three Stooges Slapstick Comedy in the early days...well...after Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, that is...
Tom Lehrer - Brilliantly funny...I grew up listening to this man because my mom and dad were completely nuts and listened to him ALL THE TIME... Not that that's a bad thing...
Adam Sandler - He's just stoopid funny, man...Anybody that has the strength of character to say "Sure...I'll let Bob Barker kick my ass in a major motion picture" can't be all that bad...

Tedious Offensive Crap

I'm fascinated with morbid stuff, especially when it's done in a humorous or particularly offensive manner. Of course, there are things that I squick over (read: human secretions of a waste product sort), but for the most part my disgusting fetish, if you could call it that, is decidedly "over the line" compared to most other people I know. These links are tame, but highly amusing.

rotten.com easily one of the funniest sites on the net. Their D*****t parody ROCKED. I am sad to see that they had to do away with it..

Jello Biafra

Jello is the first musician to be put on trial because of the content of a record album. The DK album FrankenChrist featured a picture drawn by Swiss surrealist H.R. Giger. This picture prompted the L.A. City attorney to file a charge of "distribution of harmful matter to minors" against him. He's collected quite a lot of social and political material together, and gone on spoken word tours across the country. 4 Albums of snippets of the tours have been released so far. I have three of them, and I highly recommend them for anybody that is willing to listen to a very well spoken man present his view of religion, politics and various social issues. Great stuff..

Another site that I've become rather fond of is the Goth Goose of the Week. Straylight has made it his solemn duty to point the savage finger of, well, things you'd point a savage finger at; like pretentious idiots who contribute to the waste of bandwith on the 'net in the name of "belonging".

Carpe Noctem is a zine I first picked up in Tower Records a couple of years ago, and I thought it was hauntingly beautiful. The online version's just as striking.
