The letter flutters to the floor
A heart is roughly broken
As the words strike out
From the torn pages
Rending true love
And creating an agony
That she has never known before

"Heartless bitch" her creedo now
as she dons her suit of armor
and builds high the walls
of emotional defense
keeping all others out
ensuring no pain
no hurt
no joy
no happiness

nothing can penetrate her heart again
nobody can hurt her now
nobody can touch her
to heal the wounds inside
to repair her broken heart
that she keeps ripping apart
with every thought of love long lost

She becomes bitter
Angry
Violent
And decides to take on
The world In her own special way

The knife cold against her palm
The night air urges her on
To the place of pain
To the one that left her

Her mission now clear
She must show the world
How she hurts
How she feels
Through the pain
And suffering
Of the one she once called
"darling"...
