Will somebody please tell me why this is BIG news? Not that I don't feel for the actual issue of disabled access to all areas in real life, but COME ON! Surely there's something else that the media can focus on...Why must they concentrate on politically correct feces like this when there are families out on the street, elderly folks eating dogfood because they can't afford real food, and teenagers killing their offspring and dumping them in trashcans? Because of this news story, Mattel Inc. is going to unveil the new Barbie Folding Pretty House with a wider front door and no steps or stairs. Well, phew! Another politically correct disaster averted...*sigh* If only people would react this quickly to the real problems that plague society... 

It would appear that we're quickly turning into beings that only care about surface appearances instead of dealing with the deeper issue at hand. [1] A change in society is necessary, and it would also probably be beneficial if people concentrated on actual family values instead of this crap they keep feeding us about keeping our children from saying "fuck", and having the government restrict their access to sexually oriented material, instead of letting parents do their job and monitor what they do. Maybe if kids knew about sex and it's possible pitfalls at an earlier age, less kids would be stuffing babies into dumpsters. But that's another topic to rant about...I'll probably get to that later this week...
