I've been watching the current flurry of activity surrounding the 2000 campaign, and I've gotta admit, it'd be a lot easier to pick a viable candidate for president if Cthulu was running. After all, as they say...why pick the lesser of two evils?

In this corner (or would that be "coroner"?), we have George W. Bush, otherwise known as "Scandal Man", running for the Grey-haired Old-time-religion Party. He's been accused of everything from doing hard drugs when he was in his "reckless youth", to using his considerable political influence to smash those unfortunate enough to get in the way of his steamroller of "Compassionate Conservatism". 

I must admit, that I'm pretty used to politicians yankin' their pieces out of their "oh so high-and-mighty" pants, then waving them about crushing their opponents in a flurry of spent energy, but Bush makes the evil powers that be almost cringe in worship. His idea of reform is to incarcerate ANY drug offender for as long as he can keep them behind bars . He'd be just as happy to see them lined up and shot, to hear his drug policy views. He's more than willing to crush the nuts of first time offenders, even for "residue". In several instances this "residue" wasn't actually found until the object in question was taken to a lab for analysis. Compassionate, my ass...

He STILL has yet to answer yea or nay to the many questions about his past "dalliances" with substances. My problem with this, is that if he HAS done drugs in the past, why is he so fucking hot and bothered to slam people down for 2 to 5 years for even MINOR infractions? Could it be that he's a hypocritical BITCH? Maybe his momma didn't slap his ass around enough as a child. Besides, both he and Al Gore have that annoying religious agenda to add to the their respective tickets. When did there stop being two separate parties? I know it must've occurred years ago, but I'll be damned if I can remember when...

Another really odd nugget of news is that Pat Buchanan is seriously thinking of courting my political party, The Reform Party. He's thinkin' of jumpin' on the Reform party train and riding it all the way to the White House. Needless to say, if this actually happens, I'll hasten to distance myself as far as I can from this potential disaster. A religious, intolerant Nazi in the most powerful position in the country? That scares the everlovin' SHITE out of me folks...One can only hope that Gov. Jesse Ventura kicks his wacky ass all the way back to Washington...Although, there are rumors that Ventura is thinking about aligning himself with that bitch. My respect for Jesse "The Governor" Ventura will quickly go down the toilet if this comes to pass. To me this smacks of an aging man eager to etch his indelible mark on the political toilet stall, as it were. It appears to be a gesture of desperate hope. Hopefully it'll fall flat on it's face... 

Bill Bradley I can't quite figure out. The little "give us some money" popup that follows you all over his Official website is more than a little annoying. Like I have the money to fuckin' contribute to ANYBODY's campaign. I'm still wearing the same shoes I've had for 10 years. And anybody that talks about MORE anti-gun laws just annoys the hell out of me. Prosecute the people that use them ILLEGALLY instead of jumping up and down on people like me that only own 9mm pistols and home defense shotguns. He has some good policies, but it'll be interesting to see if he can actually swing them into action without Congress stomping on his head. 

Al Gore = MORON. Oh...and do you really want that conservative bitch wife of his near the vortex of any true power? Fuck no! She's a bible thumping psycho. 'Nuff said. 

Warren Beatty running is a humorous rumor, but I don't think it'll amount to anything. Although it would make the race more interesting. There's NO WAY he can win. All the other dark horses are spoken for.... 

Unfortunately, the only choices available are pretty pathetic, which is really disheartening. Don't get me wrong...I'm still going to vote, but it's going to be a really hairy race. I don't want ANYBODY to win. Can't we just get rid of all these lame horses and start over? It'd sure make me feel a lot better...

Well, it's Christmas Eve, 2004, and Bush has been in office for two years now. The World Trade Center disaster has ensured that the currently ruling party gets pretty much everything it wants. Terrifying legislation such as the USA Patriot Act, has been passed and 'Homeland Defense' has been created as a separate office,  as well as extremely harsh method of dealing with immigrants, assorted fucked up things have been happening. The economy's in the shitter, and people are running scared - unless you happen to be an affluent white businessman, in which case you honestly couldn't be happier that all these 'mild inconveniences' have been put in place to insure your security through false government reassurances.

Hopefully the pendulum will swing back the other way soon. This is really sucking heavily.
